We're thrilled to welcome Miriam Diamond as our new Program Director. Miriam brings a wide range of experience to EBN. In academic settings, she has coached faculty, developed curriculum, supported students, and taught. She has also worked in community settings, leading an age-friendly business initiative and teaching adult ed classes on life transitions, ethical wills and lifetime friendships.
Miriam’s experience will enable Encore Boston Network to continue to offer high quality, timely programs that respond to the needs of people over 50 who want to make a difference through work, service and social action. She will also manage our relationships with a growing network of program and promotional partners as well as an array of engagement opportunities for our members.
In addition to working for several educational development organizations, Miriam has taught or served in other roles at Boston University, MIT, Tufts University, Northeastern University, Simmons University, and Mass Bay Community College. She has a BS from Boston University, MA from Lesley University, and PhD from Northwestern University.
As Miriam begins, we say a huge thank you to Mary Gunn, who is retiring after 3 years as Program Director. Mary has done an outstanding job, leading our quick shift to Zoom at the outset of the pandemic and adding new programs as needs and challenges arose. She will remain on the Encore Boston Network Board.
