This exciting project connects older adults and younger people for recorded conversations about tough times in the lives of the older adults and how they got through them. The project is designed to ease isolation for all involved, and to amplify stories of resilience at a time when we can all use a bit of inspiration and perspective. The stories will be published on Everyday Boston's website and circulated on social media.
To become involved in this fun project, please get in touch with Cara Solomon, who will provide training and match you with an interview partner.
Everyday Boston connects neighbors across the dividing lines of the city through the sharing of stories. In the past two weeks, in partnership with the YMCA, New Mission High School, and the Office of Councilor Andrea Campbell, 12 teenagers have "interviewed" older adults by phone. But there's significant interest among adults who would like to do interviews as well, which is why we're opening it up.
