EBN:How to Help First Generation College Students Get Ahead

first gen
FirstGen Ahead delivers on the promise of a college education by coaching first-generation students to identify and launch careers, to increase self-sufficiency and well-being, and to achieve beneficial societal impacts. Join us for an informative discussion of the challenges of first generation college students and how a volunteer coach can help them as they plan for their careers.

Coaches, who themselves are college graduates, commit to volunteering 1-2 hours per month over a 17-month period, beginning in September. As you guide your student to become career ready, FirstGen Ahead stays connected with you and provides important support.  Coaches are all ages and backgrounds.  Its a perfect volunteer opportunity for a retired or semi-retired professional.
